A crowd of 10,000 will watch the UK Strongest Man finals in Nottingham next May, in an extravaganza that will showcase strength, grit, and determination.
A special pre-show of UK’s Strongest Woman will filmed as part of the Channel 5 TV series. The series will feature 16 competitors from all over Britain going head-to-head over three days.
It is going to be a fantastic event for the whole family, featuring some brand new challenges for the participants, as well as the traditional disciplines such as truck pulling, car rolling, and the iconic stones of strength.
England 16 Competitors will Participate
With 16 competitors from England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales participating in the event, there will be non-stop strength action and record-breaking challenges.
In order to defend his title, the current UK champion, the Baby Face Assassin, will have to face England’s runner-up, Andrew Flying Flynn, who finished second in the UK. As well as Highland Zeus, Matthew McCoy from Ireland and Wales’ Raptor David Ramplee, he will also face two times Scottish Strongest Man.
With former football presenter Chris Kamara hosting this event to commemorate 20 years of the greatest strength show, it’s not to be missed.
There are plenty of reasons to attend the event, said executive director Glenn Ross: “It’s going to be an action-packed showcase that will blow your mind! There will be fire, excitement, power testing, and family entertainment to keep you entertained all night long.”
It’s a show the whole family will enjoy
In addition to fun half-time showcases and pyrotechnics, fans will enjoy the mascot Odin, t-shirt cannon, and lots more at this show. Spectators will enjoy the music, pyrotechnics, mascot Odin, and everything else the event has to offer. Fans will also be able to take part in UK Strongest Man challenges if they want to.
As part of the ethos of offering family entertainment, the final show is a matinee and the children know these guys, their nicknames.
UK’s Strongest Woman will premiere on May 27 before the men’s quarterfinal and semifinal, followed by the matinee final featuring the remaining eight athletes.
