As confirmed by the city council, the Godiva Festival is returning to its traditional summer location in 2023.

War Memorial Park will host the event between June 30 and July 2.

As a result of the cancellation of the event in 2020, it was moved to September last year and stayed there for the sake of accommodating Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2022.

In the new year, the council will announce ticket details and the lineup, including the headliners.

A headliner for this year’s festival was Tom Grennan, followed by The Libertines and Bananarama.

The event is believed to have drawn up to 40,000 attendees, up from 54,000 in previous years.

A funfair, stalls, and live music are among the attractions at the festival

The festival returning to July was fantastic, said Abdul Salam Khan, deputy leader of the council.

Coventrians’ love and support of the festival is evident in its growth every year.
